Document Views and Graph

The Documents workspace has All files, Recent, Starred, Shared with me, and Trash smart views. In the browse area, Files shows documents as cards or rows; Visualize opens a graph of folders and documents.

Browse files

  1. Open the team's Documents page.
  2. Choose a smart view in the left rail: All files, Recent, Starred, Shared with me, or Trash.
  3. In Files, use the grid/list buttons to change the layout. Use the details button to show or hide the selected item's details.
  4. Open a folder or document from its card or row. Use the breadcrumb to return to a parent folder or All files.

Recent, Starred, Shared with me, and Trash are flat document lists; they do not show the folder tree. Trash contains archived documents and provides restore and permanent-delete actions.

Explore the graph

  1. In the Documents browse toolbar, select Visualize.
  2. Search by node name in Search nodes. Press Enter to apply immediately; clear the field or press Escape to reset.
  3. Choose All, Folders, or Docs to filter visible node types.
  4. Use the expand control to reveal a document's heading nodes, or collapse to return to the folder/document overview.
  5. Select a folder node to navigate into that folder. Select a document node to expand or collapse its heading nodes.
  6. Toggle content-based connections with the link icon. Select Files to return to card/list browsing.

Folder/document edges represent the folder hierarchy. Expanded heading nodes are attached to their document. Dashed content-based connections are calculated from text similarity and are exploratory hints, not saved links or an authoritative relationship between documents. The graph currently limits these connections to the highest-scoring matches.

The selected view is remembered in this browser. On narrow screens, pan or scroll the graph canvas; graph nodes retain a minimum canvas width for readability.
